Gerflor offers to collect all types of installation waste from its corporate clients, with the aim of recycling it.

The Second Life Program, our collection system in more than 10 countries

Launched in 2011, this scheme is available for installation companies and is tailored to their requirements.

In the UK the secondary raw material obtained is transported to recycling factories and processed for manufacturing in to new PVC based products.

Across mainland Europe material is recycled at one of our facilities to be incorporated into new Gerflor products.

Collection systems are available in the UK and can be arranged by contacting your local sales representative.

From Collection to Closed-Loop Recycling

On mainland Europe products collected through the Second Life program are processed in dedicated Gerflor recycling centres. They are sorted, treated, and transformed into high-quality recycled raw materials for new products. Helping to support our company goal of recycled material in our products.

Since 2017, we have partnered with PAPREC through a joint venture to operate a recycling facility in France. In 2025, Gerflor took over an additional recycling centre in Germany.

We also reintegrate production scrap into our products, supporting our ambition of zero-waste factories.
