Enhanced slip resistance is achieved by increasing the friction between the foot and the floor. The secret to our non-slip vinyl flooring is a dense concentration of deep inlaid anti slip particles throughout the wear layer.

Because these aggregates are inherent within the entire floor it means they are present for the entire product life. This means they do not simply wear off over time.
Slip Resistance Ratings
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has a rating system for floor surfaces. It advises and recommends using flooring that meets floor slip ‘R Ratings’ for environments where shod feet are found. Gerflor’s Tarasafe range includes products with Anti slip performance R10-R12 dependant on your specific needs.
Non Slip Flooring Products
Tarasafe is Gerflor’s range of safety flooring products which is constructed from heavy-duty vinyl and reinforced with a glass reinforced plastic fibre grid. Crystal particles and coloured chips are laid deep with the non slip flooring to offer a brighter more decorative design. The Tarasafe range of slip resistant flooring meets HSE guidelines for safety flooring. They all rank between R10 and R12. They also achieve a wear resistance rating of T, which means they keep their respective slip resistance for a significant amount of time.
