Our CEO Bertrand Chammas, currently the President of ERFMI the European Resilient Flooring Manufacturer's Institute, is actively involved in developing new European Life Cycle Certification and with many other organisations to help promote PVC recycling within the industry.
Gerflor has an enviable reputation for working towards a greener environment and producing sustainable products.
PVC is highly efficient to manufacture and compares favourably with other "natural" floorcoverings in terms of its environmental impact during the manufacturing phase. PVC is also very safe and has been proven during numerous scientific studies to be the most suitable material for use in all sorts of products including those which come into close and intimate contact with the human body and for wrapping food products. Our Mipolam range of flooring have been issued with an A rating by BRE (Building Research Establishment) and all of our products are strictly manufactured in accordance with the environmental ISO 14001 standard. All of our products have SFEC certificates detailing their low environmental impact.
