Context and comments : Specification:650 sqm sports centre including over underfloor heating with line marking. Martin Henry, Leisure Service Manager for Blaenau Gwent Borough Council noted that: “The selection process centred on the flooring’s sports performance, reducing the risk of sports injuries, underfloor heating performance, the overall lifespan of the product and the cost of maintenance; and on all five counts Taraflex Sports M proved a winner.” Simon Jennings, Architect for Blaenau Gwent commented: “The floor is now being used for football, badminton, basketball as well as general school and community use and has recently hosted the Gwent Open Table Tennis championships. We were delighted to have recently been awarded the prestigious RICS award for Community Benefit on this project.”
