Fast Track installation sports flooring

A speedy installation!

Vinyl flooring specialist, Gerflor, has launched its latest innovation, the unique Taraflex Dry-Tex system™.

The sports flooring has a non-woven material applied to the back of the dual density foam of the Taraflex sports range.  When used together with Gerflor’s ‘Gerpur’ adhesive, the system can be installed directly onto a subfloor, irrespective of relative humidity levels.  The system does not require surface damp proof membranes so is perfect for subfloors which are damp. 

Normally, the required level of dryness is less than 75% relative humidity which can take six to nine months to dry.  With Dry-Tex™, the floor must have more than 92% relative humidity and can be installed immediately the floor is visibly dry.  This has the additional benefit of saving installation costs – typically £20 per square metre is saved when Dry-Tex™ is used as opposed to standard vinyl floorcoverings.

Dry-Tex™ sports flooring, which is available in two wood and 15 plain colour options, can be used for both new-build and renovations.  Boasting Cellular Xtreme Process (CXP) foam backing, the flooring offers exceptional comfort and shock absorbency and is fully compliant with the European Standard for Sports Flooring EN 14904. 

For extra peace of mind, the range also features the well-proven advantages of Protecsol®, Gerflor’s unique no-polish-for-life surface treatment along with Sanosol®, an anti-fungicidal and bactericide.  In addition, the product’s DMax multi-layer surface offers a highly resilient, durable top layer ensuring dimensional stability and excellent  indentation resistance.

The high-performing, Dry-Tex™ System reduces time, money and disruption for architects, main contractors and installers thereby limiting the risk of Liquid Ascertained Damages (LAD’s).
