New Housing collection from Gerflor offers style, quality and choice

Durable and wide-ranging, the new Housing Collection from Gerflor comprises a range of muti width sheet and tile floorcoverings ideal for all housing projects – and adds much-desired style to a market sector on the look out for the next fashion trend.

Combining up to the minute aesthetics with practical, performance is a must for all specifiers and end consumers.  The Gerflor ranges incorporate traditional carborundum impregnated slip resistant products for all external and communal areas as well as PU particle slip resistant surfaces for kitchens and bathrooms. All grades of flooring are available in a wide selection of popular surface treatments and patented solutions .

Key products in the range include Griptex, Artline and Taralay Initial.  Griptex, a flooring solution patented by Gerflor, comprises 39 colours/patterns and is the ultimate 3-in-1 flooring solution.  Layer one is the GripX treatment offering a slip-resistant, hygienic and easy to clean surface, while layer two, the interlayer, provides dimensional stability which is waterproof from above and below.  Layer three is the patented polyester backing system. This unique construction allows installation over imperfect sub-floors and existing floorcoverings. Installation is quick and easy saving both time and money as well as reducing the environmental impact of the installation of a new floor. 

Another range introduced to the new collection is the Artline luxury vinyl tiles.  Ideal for high-traffic residential and low-traffic commercial installations, the tiles are available in seductive range of natural wood and mineral effect.  These tiles have a polyurethane (PUR) sealed surface to ensure easy maintenance and comprise a 0.3mm transparent wear layer, a design film and a compact underlayer.  The material is compressed and grained at high pressure to ensure long life performance.  The high quality wear layer is made from 100% pure PVC and is waterproof, so it won’t decay or deteriorate and the backing incorporates high levels of recycled material to ensure the product’s sustainable credentials. 

Artline Wood designs feature a selection of 26 different looks to match major wood-effect looks in four groupings: Rustic, Natural, Exotic and Classic.  Artline Mineral is available in 12 different types in trendy or classic finishes that recreate granite, stone, limestone, marble, travertine, terracotta, concrete, pebble and slate effects. 

A variety of border designs is available to complement Artline’s tiles as well as key strips, clipped corner tiles, key squares and decorative strips to add individual flair to floor designs. 

Taralay Initial is a new introduction to the collection comprising three range designs. Each have a 19db sound insulation/comfort backing for a super quiet floor. The surface is treated with Protecsol® a factory applied surface treatment which eliminates the need for seals and polishes and prolongs the good looks of the product even in high traffic residential or medium traffic commercial settings.
