Gerflor Guide to Specifying Vinyl Flooring CPD
Gerflor Guide to Specifying Vinyl Flooring CPD updated following changes to BRE A+-E Environmental rating scheme
Gerflor has released it's most comprehensive and informative CPD presentation to date, highlighting the company's commitment not only to its extensive and world-renowned floorcovering ranges but, also to the global environment.
The CPD details the attributes of the vinyl flooring range, from the manufacturing process through to the finished product. Performance, cost and installation information is included together with essential advice on choosing the correct floorcovering.
Gerflor has taken the initiative with this CPD presentation to clarify the environmental impact of vinyl as a safe and efficient flooring material offering unique advantages to users and property owners. The presentation covers practical issues such as Life Cycle Performance and Whole Life Costs, including information regarding the updated 2009 BRE Green Guide to Flooring Specification.
The presentation also draws upon the environmentally responsible policy employed by Gerflor, with its close links with the AgrP PVC recycling plant and research centre, and highlights the company's commitment to recycling pvc post use waste.
"This is a comprehensive and very valuable CPD presentation, suitable for all specifiers wanting to understand how to select vinyl floorings," comments Hazel Cook of Gerflor. "In addition, it also offers an overview of the new BRE Green Guide and why it has generically awarded particular vinyl floorings, including those manufactured by Gerflor with an A+ in a variety of heavy traffic environments."
